Put the sale and handover details on the record
Record the item, price, condition, payment and handover in a bill of sale. Separate actual payment from the remaining balance and required title steps.

Overview
What it is and when to use it
For a buyer and seller documenting a straightforward personal-property sale, such as equipment or furniture. Identify the item precisely and confirm payment and delivery separately. Vehicles and other registered goods may require official forms; real estate, financed sales and IP transfers need different documents.
Key terms
Terms worth understanding
Title means ownership; possession is physical control. A lien is another party's claim against the item. An as-is choice concerns condition warranties and does not erase every legal duty. Amount received means money actually received.

IMPORTANT NOTICES
General information, not state-specific legal advice. Review the full agreement and required attachments before use.
Registered property is draft-only until required official transfer forms and execution steps are completed.
SALE
On [Effective date], [Seller legal name], [Seller mailing address] (Seller), agrees to sell to [Buyer legal name], [Buyer mailing address] (Buyer), the following personal property: [Description of the property], with identifiers [Serial numbers or other identifiers], including [Included accessories] and excluding [Excluded items]. Known condition and defects are [Known condition and defects]. This document does not convey real estate or intellectual property.
Notice email for [Seller legal name]: [Seller notice email].
Notice email for [Buyer legal name]: [Buyer notice email].
PRICE AND PAYMENT
The price is [Currency] [Sale price]. Payment will be made by [Payment method] by [Payment due date]. Amount actually received when this document is signed: [Currency] [Amount actually received at signing]. Balance due: [Currency] $0.00. Seller acknowledges receipt only of the amount actually entered as received, not the entire price automatically. This simple form is not a financed-sale or security agreement; a payment plan requires separate reviewed documents.
DELIVERY, TITLE AND RISK
Delivery will occur at [Delivery location] on [Delivery date]. Title and risk of loss pass when both the full agreed price has been received and the Property has been delivered, except any mandatory title-registration requirements or nonwaivable law. Seller will supply the keys, records and transfer documents listed in [Keys, records and transfer documents supplied]. Buyer will cooperate with required registrations and filings. This bill alone does not replace a required certificate of title or official transfer form.
OWNERSHIP AND CLAIMS
Seller states that Seller owns the Property, has authority to sell it and will deliver it free of liens and other ownership claims except those fully described in [Liens and other ownership claims].
Seller will not create new liens before delivery.
TAXES AND FEES
Allocation of any taxes, registration, delivery or transfer charges is [Who pays taxes and fees], subject to the party legally responsible to the relevant authority. An allocation does not excuse either party's legal filing or payment duties.
GENERAL TERMS
The law of [Governing state] governs this agreement, subject to mandatory law that cannot be changed by contract. Ordinary notices must be in writing to the addresses above; email notices are effective when acknowledged, and hand or tracked delivery when received. A legally required method of service still applies. This document and its identified attachments contain the parties' agreement on this subject. Changes require both parties' written agreement. A failure to enforce a term once is not a waiver of future enforcement. If a term cannot be enforced, the remaining terms continue to the extent permitted by law. Neither party may transfer this agreement without the other's written consent, except where mandatory law provides otherwise. Each signer confirms authority to sign. The parties may sign counterparts; electronic signatures may be used where applicable law permits and the parties consent.

How to send it for e-signature (ordinary personal property)
Registered-property transactions are download-only pending official execution requirements. Finish the document and review the full preview with the other party. Check names, dates, payment terms and every selected option. Resolve any state-specific requirements and attach referenced schedules before signing. Download the final document, sign in to Demand Signatures, and upload it to your document workflow. Add the correct recipients, place each person's signature and date fields, review the document, and send it. Keep the completed copy with its attachments. A signature does not replace required disclosures, witnesses, notarization or filing. Verify payment figures and official title requirements first. Complete any required official witnessing or notarization separately rather than treating this send as the entire transfer.
